We achieved Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for this thatched cottage extension in 2009.
The original house is Grade II Listed, so our challenge was to create a sympathetic extension that would increase space. In the end, a double height extension with a single storey link proved successful.
The new section is built entirely from timber and glass, which gives it a uniquely modern look, but also keeping the traditional reflection of the cottage.
