Planning Permission News August 2019

Our latest news from the Planning team on our recent planning permission successes.

New Garage in New Forest

Following a change of ownership, Fowlers were appointed to undertake the planning and design work for a house in the New Forest.

We recently secured planning permission for a 5-bay cartshed with storage space above. This new cartshed will replace an existing dilapidated garage building.

Although in a secluded site, the style, design and materials of the new cartshed were obviously important. The New Forest is an incredibly sensitive landscape area, and so any proposals are subject to strict criteria.

The next stage of the project is to get planning permission for an extension to the main house as well.

Garden Room Extension in Conservation Area

Planning permission was granted in July for an oak framed and glass garden room in Wiltshire. The new garden room will replace an existing rear extension. The application also included a new brick boundary wall.

The site lies within a Conservation Area and is located in a sensitive location near listed buildings and a Grade I listed church.

The extension will allow the interior family space to be re-orientated to create an improved use of the existing space.
