New House Planning Permission August 2022

New Country Home in Wiltshire

Following a previous permission, our clients asked us to design some extra elements to their scheme. We added a link between the garage and the main dwelling, as well as other minor changes to the design.

The changes have been approved, and the new house will be a generous 5 bedroom country home. The timber clad wing will hold various functional spaces, including a utility, office and garage, and the main house will have a good balance of open, flowing spaces and traditional rooms for entertaining.

Our clients will be starting construction soon and we look forward to following this exciting build as it develops.

Two New Houses in Wiltshire

We recently secured permission for two new cottages in rural Wiltshire.

These homes have been designed as a traditional pair of farm cottages, and will replace a pair of semi-detached houses. Materials used include traditional brick and flint and clay tiles, so that the new cottages will sit in harmony with the surrounding landscape.

The site has no constraints, and so the Council and granted permission with no issues; a great result for our clients.

New Annex in Berkshire

Our clients asked us to design an annex to facilitate multi-generational family life.

The main house is not listed and there were not a lot of other constraints on the site, and so we were able to discuss multiple options for the design. In the end, our clients decided to remove an outbuilding and locate the annexe in line with the house.

The annexe will be built in oak-frame. We often recommend specialist oak-frame companies to our clients to take these projects through to construction.

This application went through the council very smoothly and we’re pleased to get the right result for our clients and help them move forward with this important development for their family.
