Golden Opportunity for Heytesbury

“Proposals for a development of around 23 homes in order to provide a new village hall were revealed at an exhibition held at Heytesbury School on Monday 13th February.”

We’ve been working closely with the community in Heytesbury, to create a sustainable plan for the future of an important piece of land in the village. We presented these plans earlier in the week, and received an encouraging response.

From the Warminster Journal: “Lead designer, Mike Fowler of Fowler Architecture & Planning said, “This is an ideal opportunity for the village to gain a new village hall and ownership of the football and cricket pitches from the benevolent Sassoon estate.

“The 23 houses should be viewed as an enabling development that will benefit the village. The new homes will be two, three and four bedroom and there will be a mixture of bungalows and traditional village houses. Around 30% of these will be classed as affordable housing with some for rent.

“The exhibition is being held to obtain the views of the villagers to see if this is what they want. These proposals are not cast in stone but merely ideas to garner public opinion.”
